PASSPORT RENEWALS
You are using this process for renewing a current passport. Please choose one of the following services that will meet your requirements.
Please see if you are eligible for renewal of your passport.
If you can answer YES to all the statements below, please follow the instructions carefully:
- I can submit my most recent U.S. passport.
- I was at least 16 years old when my most recent U.S. passport was issued.
- I was issued my most recent U.S. passport less than 15 years ago.
- I use the same name as on my most U.S. recent passport; OR I have had my name changed by marriage or court order and can submit proper documentation to reflect my name change.
If you answered NO to any one of the statements above, you are NOT qualified to renewing your passport. Please go to the New US Passport section to apply for a new passport.
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON LEAVING WITHIN 3 TO 4 BUSINESS DAYS, PLEASE CONTACT F&R PASSPORTS/ VISAS SERVICES, INC. TO VERIFY WE HAVE THE ABILITY TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION IN TIME FOR YOUR DEPARTURE.
STEP-1
Preparation of Your Passport Application Materials
The following are items needed to obtain a RENEW passport
1) Your Completed DS-82 Form (Please use blue or black ink only) (Please fill out this form ONLINE only, then print out TWO sets of the filled form) Please refer to the applications & forms tab on the left
2) TWO Identical Passport photos
3) Most recent passport. (Your original passport will be returned with your new one)
4) Government Fees
$135 check or money order payable to “US Department of State” with Date of Birth.
($135 for 16 and over, $120 for under 16)
5) ONE Copy of Your Proof of Departure
Provide plane ticket, itinerary or business letter showing proof of leaving the country.
6) Name Change Document (if applicable)
If the name you are currently using differs from the name on your previous passport, please submit ORIGINAL or CERTIFIED COPY of the document showing the change of name.
- Marriage certificate
- Divorce decree
- Adoption decree
- Court order documents
The name change document MUST bear the official seal of the issuing authority. Uncertified copies or notarized documents are NOT ACCEPTED. All documents will be returned to you with your passport.

To receive your passport for overnight return delivery, please add $24.95 (or $39.95 for Saturday delivery) to your check/money order or cash, or you may include your own Airbill with your FedEx Account number.

Quick Checklist and Prepare Your Package for Shipping
After gathering all the necessary materials, please send the following items in your package by FedEx to Passport Depot::
- The Completed DS-82 Form
(Please fill out this form ONLINE only, then print out TWO sets of the filled form)
- TWO identical Passport Photos
- Old Passport
- Government Fee of $135
- Name Change Document (if applicable)
- ONE copy of the Proof of Departure
- TWO signed Letters of authorization

PLEASE SHIP BYFEDERAL EXPRESS PRIORITY OVERNIGHT ONLY. YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED IF SENT BY ANY OTHER SERVICE. (US Postal Mail, DHL, Airborne Express and/or other major shipping carriers’ envelopes/packaging are NOT ACCEPTED. If so, your application will NOT be shipped appropriately and can ultimately result in delay and/or loss of your application materials).

*You can pick up FEDERAL EXPRESS Airbills and envelopes at FedEx boxes and FedEx offices. Call 1-800-GO-FedEx to find the most convenient location or use their online drop-off locator (drop-off locations will have blank Airbills and envelopes. You may use a credit card to pay for the sending of your application).
